BIASETTI VALENTINA

Valentina Biasetti was born in Parma in 1979.
She attended the Paolo Toschi Institute of Art in Parma, graduating in Advertising Graphics. After a year passed in a graphic study, her passion for drawing led her to wander the streets of art. For this reason, when someone asks her what her profession is, she replies: Independent Walker.
She attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna with a final 110 cum laude in the School of Painting.
The figures that Biasetti draws on paper or on a fitted sheet move in the solitude of an empty space, relating only to the color, the pictorial gesture or the geometric constructions.
Full and empty are an attempt to contact and dialogue between the figures who seek an intimate understanding between them while remaining suspended in a time scale, as if they were snapshots taken at different moments that find pretext of closeness only in the imagination: an imaginary bridge for a place called “Elsewhere”.
