BARLETTANI MASSIMO

Massimo Barlettani was born in Volterra in 1956.
In 1989 he founded the advertising agency B&A.
He has won numerous awards for creativity.
He has been involved in art publishing and has designed and published dozens of volumes with ‘Zeta Scorpii Editore’.
Continuous professional contact with international photographers and artists has led him to develop a very special sensitivity.
His artistic research has developed from abstract painting into a figurative redefinition of iconic elements, in particular female figures and natural elements.
Since 2012, she has been developing research on the theme of life and its symbolic representation through rarefied floral images.
In 2014, he presented his ‘Pollen’ project at Uoll in Florence with an exhibition curated by Roberto Milani and Filippo Lotti.
In 2015 he is at Galleria il Gioiello in Lodi with an exhibition curated by Mauro Gambolò, at Palazzo Stella for the Genoa Art Biennial curated by Mario Napoli, at Villa Rescalli Villoresi Museo Dario Mellone, Busto Garolfo Milano with United Factories, at Nautilus in Capri with the FDA Project curated by Susanna Gargiulo.
At the Triennale di Milano for a project sponsored by EXPO Milano 2015 he was invited for a solo exhibition: “Il network della natura”, with a video installation curated by Viacheslav Zakharov, at Spazio Tim4Expo.
In 2016, ‘Linfa’, curated by Laura Orlandi, was presented in Cerreto Guidi, subsequently developed with an important solo exhibition at ‘Spazio Lavit’ in Varese. Also in 2016, in Rome, ‘Fiorescenza’ was inaugurated together with Eva Munarin’s sculptures at Frammenti d’arte Art Gallery.
In 2017 he exhibited in Madonna di Campiglio, Milan, Alassio, Santa Margherita Ligure, Ostuni, Locarno and San Miniato, and the ‘Anthropology’ project was also set up with a large exhibition in Montelupo Fiorentino, presented by Alessandra Redaelli.
In 2018, he was invited to London for ‘Spring’, a major exhibition on international figuration curated by Anna Rowlinson at the Osborne Studio Gallery in Belgravia, after which he exhibited ‘Anthropology’ at Castello di Nervi, in conjunction with Euroflora, in the exhibition curated by Barbara Cella for Cella Art Gallery and, even later, we find him again in Milan in the group show curated by Maurizio Cucchi “Urbanità Liquide” at Galleria Previtali at “Artistica-mente” curated by Simona Trivisonno and at “Abbagli” curated by Silvia Rocchi.
Also in 2018, the installation project “Divina essentia” at the Church of San Pietro di Balconevisi curated by Filippo Lotti and a video made by Guglielmo Meucci.
In 2019 he is one of the twenty-four Tuscan protagonists of the travelling exhibition, curated by Filippo Lotti, “Sheep Art- Arte in transumanza” presented at Palazzo Pretorio in Certaldo.
On show in Savona with ‘Charta’ at Galleria Gulli Arte curated by Antonella Gulli, in the ‘Utopia’ concept store in Pienza curated by Monica Rossi and at ArteGenova with Satura Art Gallery.
In Naples at the PRAC Piero Renna Arte Contemporanea he presented the large solo exhibition ‘All you need is flowers’, curated by Filippo Lotti.
Also in 2019, he presents a large solo exhibition ‘Flo’ curated by Francesca Bogliolo at Palazzo Oddo in Albenga produced and set up by Casa d’Arte San Lorenzo.
In Savona, she inaugurated her solo exhibition “Petali” at Gulli Arte.
This was followed by participation in the event “50 anni di luna nuova” at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice, curated by Anna Caterina Bellati.
In September he was in Vinci in the church of Santa Croce for the “Leonardo 50.0” project curated by Ivan Quaroni, and in October he took part in the collective exhibition “Transumanza” curated by Filippo Lotti in Cascina.
In November, he inaugurated “Haiku”, a solo exhibition in Vicenza at the l’Idea space of Maria Luisa Amatori curated by Francesca Bogliolo.
In July 2020 he was invited by SyArt to the “International meeting of contemporary art” in Sorrento at Villa Fioerentini curated by Rossella Savarese and in September he inaugurated a solo exhibition together with Falvia Robalo at the Sensi Arte Contemporay art gallery in Tuscany entitled “I sentimenti dell’acqua” curated by Francesca Sensi.
In May 2021 he inaugurated an important exhibition in Hangzhou, China, at the YudianArt gallery entitled “C’erano i fiori Sbocciati” curated by Candice.
In June the exhibition “Sakura” curated by Francesca Bogliolo and Filippo Lotti for Casa d’arte San Lorenzo and in July he was in Monza at the ArcGallery with “Secret Garden”.
In December he inaugurated “Genesis” in Savona at the Gulli Arte gallery curated by Selina Fanteria.
He took part in Art Parma Fair, Lucca Art Fair, Lausanne Art Fair, Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong, Arte Genova, GrandArt Milano and Art Fair Zagreb.
For several years he was a contributor to “Arte In” with a regular column entitled “the finger in the jam” where he expressed his opinion on trends and contradictions in contemporary art.
Massimo Barlettani’s works can be found in important public and private collections.
He lives and works in Cerreto Guidi.
